This committee shall facilitate, analyze and present for consideration initiatives and programs which increases participation, retention and representation of diverse attorneys in the legal profession in Georgia that accurately reflects the makeup of our state. In this effort, the committee will work towards inclusion of lawyers who have been historically underrepresented. It shall advise the Executive Committee and Board of Governors with regard to those interests.

Commitment to Equality Awards
The State Bar of Georgia’s Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession invites nominations for the 20th Anniversary of the Commitment to Equality Awards. The Commitment to Equality Awards, which include The One to Watch Award (for young lawyers) and the Randolph Thrower Lifetime Achievement Award, recognize the efforts of lawyers and legal employers devoted to providing opportunities that foster a more diverse legal profession and clientele for members of underrepresented groups in Georgia. Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Women Practicing Law in Georgia
The Women in the Profession Committee of the State Bar's Young Lawyers Division held a commemorative program at the Bar Center featuring an informative film, dramatic reading, panel discussion and an exhibit documenting the achievements of women lawyers over the last 100 years.
